Presenting & Speaking

I love bringing science to life, whether it’s on the stage, a screen, or audio. I have a wealth of experience presenting science shows at festivals and events, including the Royal Institution, and have recently debuted on screen in the short documentary ‘Reclaiming the wild: Restoring Europe’s Bison’, now showing in NaturBornholm cinema in Denmark.

As an academic and lecturer, I have given talks to a variety of audiences in the UK, Europe and America. I enjoy merging science and art through demonstrations, installations and comedy, having performed stand-up across the UK.

On Stage

I have performed science themed stand-up comedy in venues across the UK including Science Showoff in London, the 2024 Winchester AI Arts Festival, Manchester Bright Club, London Medi-culture Festival, Geen Man Festival in Wales, Undercover Comedy in Oxford, The Old Operating theatre and the UK Science Comedy Festival.

I’ve also taken my educational science shows to the Royal Institution, Latitude festival, and Geen Man Festival with more to come in 2025.

If you’d like to book me for an educational talk, demonstration or workshop, or a more light-hearted comedy show, please get in contact here.

TV & Film

In 2024 I collaborated with filmmaker Nathalie Brejner to co-write and present our debut natural history short documentary. The idea behind the film came naturally when we were amazed to discover Europe’s largest land mammal living on a Danish island the size of Birmingham - we just had to get the story out there!

Reclaiming the Wild: Restoring Europe’s Bison takes viewers on a journey to the Danish island of Bornholm, where the majestic European Bison roams once again. This captivating story explores both the rewards and challenges of reintroducing such a powerful species into the wilderness. As the film unfolds, the audience is treated to breathtaking footage of these magnificent creatures, revealing their awe-inspiring beauty and rarely witnessed behaviors in their natural habitat.
