Hi, welcome to my world

Growing up in the English countryside, I was always fascinated with the intricate lives of animals. My scientific journey began with a degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from the University of Bristol, followed by a Masters in Mathematical Biology from the University of Sussex and PhD in wildlife tagging technology from the Royal Veterinary College.

Along the way, I’ve gathered a unique set of skills; from tracking zebras in Botswana to understand how they navigate vast landscapes, to uncovering how elephants in Kenya communicate through ground vibrations, my research blends close encounters with animals and cutting-edge tech, taking me across the globe in pursuit of deeper insights into the natural world.

I am an adventure seeker and, as a certified scuba diver and freediver, I have explored a handful of the 37,000 wrecks scattered around the UK, as well as checking in on the local wildlife of course! On land, I like to get my adrenaline kick by performing stand-up comedy about my misadventures in the scientific and natural world, and I inject this humour into my educational science presentations whether on a stage or camera.

I’m always open to collaborations and enquiries, particularly if you’d like to fund my next adrenaline fuelled adventure in the skies!
